Volkswagen asked us to create a collection of posters for all 26 players that represented the US men's national team in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. The process was full of challenges since we didn't have the full roster of players until a day before the official announcement. The agency gave us complete creative freedom with only a set color palette that guaranteed unity between the illustrations which allowed each artist freedom to explore different art directions and styles. The backgrounds needed unique variations of the iconic stars and stripes motif. Each artists, each player, each style led to a unique interpretation of the American iconography, leading to a beautiful collection of posters for VW's World Cup campaign.
